The 4 Boot Trends I’m Wearing This Fall
I am so excited that fall is here. I love all of the fall treats that become available during this time of year, and I love wearing chic fall outerwear and cozy sweaters. However, boots are definitely one of my favorite things about fall. A good pair of boots can really elevate an entire outfit, and make you totally put together. There are so many different styles of boots to choose from, but I’ve made it easy and narrowed it down to the only 4 trends you need this season:
Heeled Ankle boots
Ankle boots have been a staple in my closet, and I wear them all year round. However, I especially like them for fall and winter, because you can easily pair them with jeans or a chic midi skirt. When choosing ankle boots, I always opt for heeled ones, because I find the flat ones make my legs look shorter. To elongate my body, I always go for ones that cut off right above my ankles. It’s not as flattering if they cut off at mid-calf, because that’s the biggest part of your leg. Last winter, I wore my Joseph snakeskin ankle boots (similar here), Celine nude ankle boots (similar here), and Frye brown suede ankle boots nonstop. Right now, I find myself particularly drawn to ankle boots with a metal or lucite heel:
Cowboy Boots
I feel like I don’t need to further introduce cowboy boots as I’ve worn them constantly during New York Fashion Week. It’s a fun trend to try out during fall, and it’s totally worth the investment. Everyone will be wearing them into the spring – especially during Coachella.

Go west this season and add a pair of cowboy boots to your everyday essentials.
Other than my Zimmerman snakeskin cowboy boots and my Chloe cowboy boots (which are 50% off right now!) I actually bought most of my cowboy boots from Zappos. I spent all night online shopping making sure I found ones that are the best quality-price-match. Here are my top finds:
Knee-High Boots

I also love wearing knee-high boots. My trick to finding the perfect pair of knee-high boots are to find ones that cut off right below my knee, and I prefer them slightly slouchy rather than tight-fitting. Right now, my go-to fall uniform includes these Gianvito Rossi Nude Knee High Boots (affordable here), jeans, and a chic camel coat.
Hiking Boots
On the warmer fall days, I like to pair dresses with hiking boots. I love the juxtaposition of feminine dresses against the chunkiness of the boots; it’s such an easy way to look fashion-forward without trying super hard. My favorite ones are these combat boots from Frye, and I also like these from Dr. Martens. Here are a few other pairs I’m into right now:
