Our Favorite NYC Restaurants

Our most awaited NYC restaurant guide is finally here! NYC is blessed with diverse cuisines and unique restaurants but there are a few places that we can’t quit. From vegan bowls to truffle pasta, this list hits every taste bud. You know your girl loves to eat and is always looking for food recommendations so watch my favorite NYC restaurant vlog here, comment and share your favorite NYC spots – we are all dying to know!

1. Le Botaniste

Le Botaniste is hands down our favorite vegan lunch spot in NYC. Their slogan is let food be the medicine. Their hot soup and sauce is literally healing for both your body and soul. Try the Moroccan soup with cauliflower rice, or the coconut curry from their wide range of delicious vegan choices on their “prescription”.

2. Brodo Broth Co.

Our new favorite spot for a quick bite (or shall we say, sip). A steaming hot soup on a cold NYC day is the best thing ever, especially if you can have it in a to-go cup. The most popular option is the hearth broth. The vegan seaweed mushroom broth is just as satisfying as well.

3. Good Thanks NYC

We came for their avocado toast but ended up loving their other dishes more: blue bowl, green fritters (best zucchini ever) and kimchi scrambled eggs. This is a cute brunch spot with friends and the food not only tastes good but also looks good on your feed.

4. Piccola Cucina Osteria

This place is one of Jacopo’s top three Italian restaurants in NYC. We ordered the truffle pasta, octopus and sea bass and were awed by how delicious everything tasted. This spot is very cozy and seats very few people. That being said, you need to reserve ahead of time if you don’t want to wait in line.

5. Dig

Serves quick and flavorful bowls. Pictured is a bowl with charred brussels, cauliflower with parmesan and meat balls over brown rice. There is a MatchaBar located inside the restaurant, which is a bonus if you are a matcha lover like me. We recommend the sea salt and maple latte.

6. Nonono

This Japanese restaurant is the perfect spot for a date night and friend night. Their lunch menu is quite limited but usually there’s no line. The dinner menu has much more options but the waitlist can get long due to its popularity so check on yelp before going for updated wait times. They are known for small plates including Zuke maguro (marinated tuna sashimi), Nori tofu, Daichi mushrooms, etc. We recommend you try their Yakitori, which is Japanese style skewers. Also they have amazing desserts like the Suishingen (rain drop pudding) and Kuro Goma (black sesame panna cotta).

7. The Bowery Lobby @ The Bowery Hotel

The Bowery hotel has everything for everybody – healthy beet salads, grilled salmon and also delicious pizza. The ambiance is very intimate and cozy.

8. Bondi

While in NYC, we always get Bondi sushi to go – it’s freshly-made, delicious and convenient. It’s similar to Sugarfish in LA. Our favorite rolls are the snow crab roll and spicy tuna roll.
