Traffic jams, blistered feet, jet lag + crazy schedules = A LOT of stress. Here are their answers, with no particular order of how genius they are.
Phillip Lim

“I think this would have to be meditation and burning incense to clear up energy of my work space. It is a very simple, yet transformative ritual that I partake in daily for the duration of show preparation. I start with lighting an incent and reciting an intention. Then in my meditation, I try to look towards different sources of appreciation to acknowledge and give attitude to. It really is such a powerful way to reframe what is happening into opportunities”
Eva Chen
Director of Fashion Partnerships at Instagram
“Not going out. And sleeping and taking baths – basically being antisocial.”
Kat Collings
Editor-in-chief at Who What Wear
“My tip for surviving fashion week is use a bit of PreHeels spray every morning on the heel of your foot. It smells like really bad chemicals, but once it dries, it is curiously effective for preventing blisters because it creates this intense barrier between your foot and the shoe. It’s like you’re wearing a sock, but you’re not!”
“I’ve found that dresses are a smart option for fashion week, because bold ones like this polka dot one can make a statement, and you don’t have to worry about mixing and matching separates. It’s guaranteed street style success, if you will.”
Jen Atkin
Celebrity Hairstylist and Founder of OUAI
Apps that save the day:
– Foodie – has the best filters
– iCal – my team and I use it
– Trello – for my to-do list
Evangelie Smyrniotaki
Art Director, Styleheroine
“I bring two suitcases because I usually overpack clothes. I survive by limiting down the activities and doing only selected shows and events. I also survive with supplements such as Vitamins C, Echinacea, Multivitamin, and Ginkgo Biloba.”
Pernille Teisbaek
Fashion Stylist
“My phone is my lifeline and must have during fashion weeks. Plan as much as possible in advance and give room for 5 minutes of meditation each day. “
