SUMMER BEAUTY PRODUCTS // NEW ITEMS TO TRY

Each new season brings an opportunity to try and test new products. Below are a few summer beauty products that have been making their way into my daily routine. Let me know if you have any new favorites to share!

Rodial Vit C Eye Souffle // Rodial is a new-to-me brand that is quickly becoming a new favorite. This rich eye cream is packed with Vitamin C and creates a visibly brighter, more even looking under eye. The Vitamin C boosts radiance, minimizes dark circles, and firms the skin. I’ve been loving this formula as it absorbs quite quickly and leaves no residue.

Rodial Vit C Britening Cleansing Pads // This canister includes 50 cleansing pads, each infused with a blend of brightening fruit, lactic, and glycolic acids. The Vitamin C in each pad helps to transform the skin and reduces the appearance of age spots. I’ve been using these pads both in the morning and at night and have noticed a more glowy and bright look – perfect for summer! I’ve also heard these pads are great for those with more oily skin (I have more ‘normal skin’ with a slightly oily t-zone).

Lime Crime Lip Blaze // I have talked about wanting to try a new nude shade here so I bit the bullet and bought this formula in a few shades (Ivy, Clover, and Cash). In addition to the great colors, this liquid lipstick has a hydrating formula that is infused with cannabis and sativa seed oil. Just a small dab provides a ton of moisture and coverage that is never sticky. So far, Cash (the light nude) has been my favorite shade!

Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Glow Pads (Body) // I have talked about these glow pads time and time again, but it feels remiss to not have them on the list! These exfoliating self-tanning pads feature both anti-aging properties and Vitamin D. I’ve found them to be remarkably streak free and to provide an even year-round glow. They are also amazing for all skin types, vegan, and cruelty-free! I would recommend washing and exfoliating before applying to get the best results. You can also purchase the face pads here. Also, if you are specifically looking for great faux tanning products I also highly recommend Tan-Luxe Self Tan Drops – you can read more about them in last year’s summer beauty post.

Kérastase Nutritive Night Hair Serum // Kerastase has been a big part of my hair routine for the last ten years or so, and when they created this new product, I knew I had to try it!. This moisturizing hair serum works overnight to repair and nourish your hair, working like a night cream, and leaving your hair smooth in the morning. As I have been keeping my hair in more of a low, sleek bun lately (see here for a quick tutorial), I’ve noticed my hair to be a bit dry once I take it down. This serum has worked really well for me as it absorbs overnight, helps to detangle, and boosts shine.

SkinCeuticals Retinol 0.5 Refining Night Cream // This is another product I have talked about in the past, but have continued to use in different capacities. This night cream targets and corrects fine lines and wrinkles. Retinol, a derivative of Vitamin A, promotes cell turnover, minimizes blemishes, and refines the appearance of pores. I’ve been using this every three days or so and have noticed way less break outs! Tip – Retinol does increase photosensitivity, so always use an SPF in combination with this product!

Jo Malone London Nettle & Wild Achillea Cologne // If you read here often you know Jo Malone is a beauty cabinet all-star of mine. I started using this scent in the spring but decided to hunt for a new fragrance to head into summer. I settled on Nettle & Wild Achillea (available here and here). It feels a bit lighter and more floral than Willow & Amber – simply perfect for the hot summer months ahead!
