3 Trends I’m Trying this NYFW
I get so many style inspirations throughout the year and New York Fashion Week is the time for me to break norms and try out new trends. As I am prepping for the upcoming New York Fashion Week, there are three trends I am excited to try this season:
1. Hair Clips
Anyone remember wearing these acrylic hair clips in middle school? Well, they have made a comeback and I am inspired to add these colorful hair accessories to my NYFW looks. They make me want to skip my signature effortless hair looks and actually put some thoughts into accessorizing my hair this season! The following dreamy hair clips that will complete any look:
1.Urban Outfitters Glitter Hair Clip
2. Valet Studio Lulu Beaded Barrette
3. 8 Other Reasons Frankie Clip (similar here)
4. 8 Other Reasons Dion Pin
5. Valet Studio Kelly Aligator Clip Set
6. Design B London faux Pearl Clip
7. 8 Other Reasons Spice Clip
8. Mango 3 Bows Hairclips Set
2. Maxi And Micro Bags
The second trend I’m trying are the extreme-sized bags: from the tiny micro bags to the maxi tote bags, nothing in between. I have always been a fan of smaller bags, but I want to take things up a notch and go for the even smaller micro bags like the Jacquemus Le Chiquito and Boyy Fred 23 leather bags. To be honest, they are not the most practical, but definitely make a super cute accessory!
The oversized tote bags trend was all over the runway last season and it’s perfect for days when I need to haul my stuff around in between shows. Instead of carrying the tote bag the usual way, I am going to take inspirations from last season’s show and carry it around my arm like a clutch.
1.Chloe Faye Bracelet Leather and Suede bag
2. Jacquemus Le Chiquito Leather Mini bag
3. Boyy Fred 23 Leather Top Handle Bag
4. Mango Croc-effect Tote Bag
5. Jil Sander Sombrero Large Leather Tote
6. COS Large Plisse Shoulder Bag
3. Maxi Shearling Coats
I have been sporting teddy coats and fur jackets since last winter. To combat New York’s brutal weather, I am going to layer maxi shearling jackets like the Saks Potts Febbe and Anne Vest Coze coats on top of my show outfits. I have seen fun and colorful variations online and I can’t wait to bundle up this week.
Will you be trying any of these trends?
