Colour of the month: Hyper Pink

As the winter nights draw in – high-impact brights can really pack a punch this A/W 18/19.

Rooted in our ‘Dark Wonder’ forecast for the season, Hyper Pink (18-2143 TCX) shines this month. This theme plays on the idea of a sophisticated fantasy, bridging the surreal and unreal with the everyday – and it’s something we’ve been tracking since 2016.

With pink taking on new neutral status thanks to the cult-like power and endurance of millennial pink, the shocking brights of hyper pink act as a key update for the season – just in time for statement Christmas party looks.

 

Hyper pink proves its versatility on the runway, and looks at home on smart, modern tailoring (see, Balenciaga) as it does on more sports-inspired looks.

Christmas party is front of mind across retail, and hyper pink acts as a fresh bright that breaks from a traditional, festive red.

Already a firm street style favourite across the fashion capitals, hyper pink possesses an attention-grabbing quality, and is set to brighten Instagram grids across the winter months.
