It’s a rare moment when I’m wearing color, but even the edgiest dressers can use a little color this summer. With the range of saturated hues hitting the street style scene, it’s hard to resist. I’m all for mixing, matching, and switching things up, and that means injecting color into your daily wear even if you’re keen on minimal, edgy style. I gave you guys a preview of this look from my Florence post but wanted to get into the nitty gritty of it today. If you’re intimidated by colors, here are three tips to break color into your wardrobe. 1. Go for solids in classic cuts You’ll likely catch me in black, white, and neutrals, but don’t be surprised to spot whiffs of color now through fall. One of the main reasons I avoided color to begin with is that it can get busy quick. The trick to making it work is is picking solid-color items in classic cuts, like a tailored top or polished trousers. Pair them together and you’ll wind up with an outfit like this. 2. Keep your shoes and accessories neutral OR add contrasting colors to a neutral ensemble My rule of thumb with accessories is to […]

You guys already know I’m all about minimal, moody vibes except I’m not that moody IRL – promise! So when I started seeing minimal swimwear trends rise in the fashion world, I knew 2018 was my time to fully live out bikini season. If you pay attention to Instagram at all, I bet you’ve noticed lots of plain colors – blacks, whites, nudes, and earthy tones – and clean, geometric lines with asymmetrical portions. Yup, basically everything I love about clothes has transcended into swim and I’m not complaining. No matter what your bikini preference is, there’s a minimalist version out there for you. The one I’m wearing above is from one of my all-time favorite brands, Mikoh. I can’t get enough of the sleek and cool but still very sexy designs that you can mix and match to perfection. From bikini separates to strong one-pieces, Mikoh is a minimalist girl’s dream come true (not sponsored!). Whoever told you black was basic couldn’t be more wrong! Anyway, with summer in full swing and July 4 coming right up, it’s time to get your swimwear game on now. You can make a statement at the beach or by the pool in […]

You guys can probably recall from my instagram that I was in Florence about two weeks ago for a quick but very special trip. It was my first time visiting, and even though I was so excited about the food, the fashion def brought me here. I had the honor of attending Pitti Uomo, a men’s fashion convention/fashion week held biannually in Florence, with MINI FASHION and The Woolmark Company. The two companies joined forces to launch a capsule collection designed by 4 talented individuals from all over the world – most of whom are Woolmark prize alumni. This collection is so personal to me because it’s inspired by travel – something that I feel is incredibly important for enriching one’s mind, body, and soul. It’s no secret that I’m a world traveler, and not just for the sake of traveling but for immersing in new roles, cultures, and seeing life through a different lens. So, it made perfect sense to participate in this collaboration. I had a wonderful time and wanted to share my Florence trip recap with you guys along with some recommendations. Day 1 Day 1 kicked off with a walkthrough of THE MINI FASHION FIELD NOTES […]

By now I’m sure you’ve all heard me rave about the Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask. I can’t say enough good things about the product — the texture is luxurious and it’s a multi-use product that can be used as an overnight mask, 10 minute mask, under eye mask, or makeup primer. The creators of Summer Fridays Marianna Hewitt and Lauren Gores, who just so happen to be some of my besties, invited me to the Hamptons to celebrate their cover of Purist magazine. The entire weekend was planned to perfection. (Girls, if you’re reading this, thanks again!) Travel style is really tricky. It’s so tempting to just roll out in PJs, but this sweater by Vince and my favorite broken-in Levis are a comfy substitute. I finished the look with a military-inspired Stella McCartney jacket and Golden Goose sneakers. Naturally, a lot of Summer Fridays Jet Lag mask-ing went down on that flight. After we landed, we got settled into our hotel and went for cocktails at Gurney’s. My dress by Mikoh is actually a swimsuit coverup, it’s super sheer so I just layered over it over a slip dress. I finished the look with hoop earrings by Luv AJ, […]

We’ve all heard about the versatility of the little black dress. Endorsed by Coco Chanel, the LBD is a timeless wardrobe staple that works for almost any occasion. For some reason the little white dress isn’t quite as popular. Why is that? Sure, it’s not quite as easy to style, but trust me — it’s just as chic. As we approach warmer weather, I’ve been really into the little white dress and putting my spin on the trend. The little white “dress” I’m wearing here is a versatile piece by Zimmermann. It can be worn as a top, jacket, or dress and has slowly become one of my favorite things I own. A lot of Zimmermann’s lace pieces can be worn a variety of ways, even as swim coverups. I plan on packing this on every trip I take this summer, so prepare to see it on my feed like… a lot. At first I planned on wearing this over denim, but I’m happy I went for a pair of white wide leg pants instead. My goal was to give this lacey coat dress a chicer edge and these M Martin pants did the trick. I finished the look with […]
